From cucumber slices to tea bags, aloe vera to coconut oil, many ingredients found in the kitchen can reduce bothersome under-eye circles, puffiness, and dark rings, improve skin elasticity, and give it a radiant look.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet almond oil, which we also use for our eyebrows and eyelashes, has softening and vasoconstrictive properties. Therefore, it can be effective in reducing the appearance of blood vessels under the skin. Put a few drops of sweet almond oil on a cotton ball and gently massage it onto the bruises. You may notice a reduction in bruises if you do this regularly, especially at night.
Cucumber Rings
With its rich vitamin content, cucumber is the first ingredient that comes to mind for reducing both pigmentation and puffiness. Adding aloe vera gel can enhance its effect. Grate a small cucumber, add a teaspoon of aloe vera gel, and mix until it forms a creamy consistency. Apply to the under-eye area and surrounding skin, leaving it on for at least 15 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water. Don't forget to apply it regularly every day.
Lemon Juice
Rich in vitamin C and a powerful weapon against pigmentation, lemon helps to thicken the thin skin under the eyes, thus reducing dark circles. Squeeze a lemon and apply the juice under your eyes using a cotton pad. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse. Apply twice a week for at least a month. Be careful not to let it come into contact with your eyes.
Yogurt
Homemade yogurt, which is very rich in probiotics, is also a lifesaver for under-eye dark circles. Mix two tablespoons of yogurt with one teaspoon of lemon juice until it forms a creamy consistency. Apply it under your eyes. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off. Apply twice a week.
Potatoes
Sliced potatoes, placed on the eyes, reduce puffiness, and their juice is also good for dark circles under the eyes. Grate a potato and squeeze out the juice. Apply one or two tablespoons of potato juice to your dark circles under your eyes and wait until your skin dries and tightens. Then wash it off. Apply at least twice a week. If you wish, you can also make a different under-eye mask by grating cucumber and potato and squeezing out their juice.
