Coffee Face Scrub
Coffee is used to exfoliate the skin, leaving it smoother and reducing puffiness and swelling. This makes it ideal for morning use. It also acts as an astringent, tightening pores and reducing oil production. Additionally, it removes dead skin cells. To use it, follow these steps:
Method: ◦ Place 3 tablespoons of coffee grounds in a bowl, then add 2 tablespoons of oil. Olive oil is a good option, but it can clog pores, so you can substitute it with coconut oil, flaxseed oil, or palm oil. Here are the oils suitable for different skin types: ◾Oily and acne-prone skin: Argan oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, or sunflower oil are recommended.
◾Dry skin: Argan oil, avocado oil, or sweet almond oil are suitable.
◾For normal skin: Use grapeseed oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, or hemp oil.
◦Add a tablespoon of brown sugar after adding the oil to the coffee. It's recommended to avoid white sugar, as brown sugar is better for the face.
◦Add half a teaspoon of vanilla extract to give the scrub a pleasant scent. This step is optional.
◦Mix all the ingredients well until the consistency is suitable for exfoliation. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more oil. Then store the scrub in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
◦Apply the scrub to a clean face by gently massaging it in circular motions. Leave the scrub on for 45-60 minutes, being careful to avoid the eye area.
◦Wash your face with warm water, then rinse with cold water to close the pores.
◦Apply a moisturizer after exfoliating.
