Undoubtedly, this is a crucial topic in our lives, and so I will write about it in the following lines, hoping that it will meet with your approval and satisfaction. I begin, pen in hand, seeking God's help to write golden words on a silver page, words that radiate with the light of knowledge, using the letters of our Arabic language, the language of the Holy Quran.
Why do doctors oppose soft drinks?
Five reasons why doctors and nutritionists dislike soft drinks:
What nutritional value do these drinks offer? Water, sugar, carbonation, and chemical preservatives! Their primary purpose is to inflate our children and accumulate layers of fat on them. These drinks are truly "empty food"!
We often complain that our children refuse to eat, and mothers rush to doctors, complaining and crying: "My child, doctor, won't eat!" The doctor smiles and asks, "Does he drink these soft drinks without restraint?" The mother replies, "Yes." And here's the answer: a child who fills his stomach with this drink, how can he possibly eat food?
Do you know the acidity level of these drinks? 3.4, and this acidity level is enough to dissolve bones and teeth. The story goes that a man put one of his teeth in one of these drinks, and when he returned ten days later, it was gone! The tooth had dissolved.
Have you ever asked yourself: What has happened to our children's teeth that they have become so decayed, broken, and misshapen? The secret is clear: these sugary drinks are practically beckoning to tooth decay, encouraging people to eat and drink, especially when combined with neglecting to brush their teeth after every meal. And who benefits?
Before you drink soda, or buy it for your children in response to their nagging, nerve-wracking demands, consider this: Have you ever imagined that you might one day be drinking carbon dioxide? Or that you might be serving it to your guests? My friend, that's exactly what you do when you're tired of these drinks. People are truly strange!
They abandon the bounty and blessings God has bestowed upon this earth—delicious fruits, sweet vegetables, and fresh juices—for something that's bottled in metal!
And so, every beginning has an end. The best work is that which ends well, and the best speech is that which is concise and meaningful. After this humble effort, I hope I have succeeded in presenting the aforementioned points in a clear and engaging manner, highlighting both the positive and negative effects of this fascinating and enjoyable topic. May God guide us all to what is best for us.
