Tips for overcoming smartphone addiction

"It's hard to deny the benefits of computers, of course," he said, "but some people become truly dependent on them."

In an interview with the Russian website Life.ru, Shashlov, a social media specialist, discussed ways to break free from the trap of addiction and reduce screen time. He recommended starting in the morning and spending that time without a smartphone.

"I recommend that after turning off your alarm, you get out of bed and start a new day without your phone in your hands," he said. "Keep in mind that the morning is also your personal space, which you can make comfortable and spend alone with yourself and your family. Don't overload yourself with information from the moment you wake up."

Meanwhile, a new study has shown that people who cannot function without social media apps on their smartphones are more prone to teeth grinding during sleep.

One expert says that fighting smartphone addiction is very simple: it only involves changing the colors. He points out that setting the smartphone screen to grayscale keeps users away from becoming addicted to using their devices.
