Dermatologist and aesthetic specialist Dr. Sina Ghadiri stated that some products frequently used in skincare are not as harmless as they seem, warning that they can cause irreversible damage, especially to sensitive and problematic skin. Here are those products.

Dermatologists warn: The most commonly used skincare product poses a danger!

Dermatologists are warning that some readily available products on the market can cause serious damage to the skin. Dr. Ghadiri stated that the chemicals in some popular products damage the skin barrier, potentially leading to acne, irritation, dryness, and even pigmentation problems in the long term. “I neither use nor recommend some products to my clients. Because while the ingredients may seem effective in the short term, they can seriously threaten skin health in the long run,” she said. Ghadiri emphasized that some toners, serums, and peeling products, particularly those popular on social media, can cause permanent skin damage if used without proper knowledge, and stressed the importance of users paying attention to the ingredient list when choosing products.

1. PEELING PRODUCTS:

Frequent or aggressive exfoliation weakens the skin's natural protective barrier.

This leaves the skin vulnerable to external factors (sun, dirt, bacteria).

Chemical peeling products, in particular, can cause intense dryness and redness in sensitive skin.

Reactions such as burning, itching, and peeling may occur.

2. FACIAL CLEANSING BRUSHES:

Brushes, especially those with stiff bristles, can irritate the top layer of skin.

This leads to a breakdown of the skin's protective barrier, leaving it vulnerable to external factors.

Using a brush on sensitive skin can cause redness, burning, and irritation.

Applying excessive pressure to the brush will enhance these effects.

3. BLACKHEAD STRIPS:

These strips can remove not only blackheads, but also the skin's protective oil layer and healthy cells.

This situation causes the skin's natural barrier to break down, making it vulnerable to external factors.

Especially in sensitive or thin skin, removing the strips may cause redness, burning, and sensitivity.

Sometimes, crusting or peeling of the skin may occur after the procedure.
